NASA Incubation Study

View of eagle on imager

We are working on a cooperative project with NASA to study the incubation temperatures of developing eggs. The research involves the use of NASA's "space-age" infrared thermal imaging video camera to determine the precise temperatures of Bald Eagle eggs that are being incubated by adults. It is hoped that results from this research will lead to the development of a highly efficient incubator that will improve the survival of captively bred endangered species.
